Possum is a unique girl in many ways.. Although not the usual ‘pretty' Cavalier type, she has a lovely strong head, is very sound and moves wonderfully. Her early show career had some ups and downs with the high point being awarded Opposite Champion Puppy of Breed at the 2003 Brisbane Royal show..

Despite these early highs she was penalised in the ring because of her rather short tail (result of a kink at birth which had to be docked, and looked like the ring tail of a Possum, hence her name), which although still within the standard, was often classed as a fault!

So, with our other kids doing well in the ring it was decided Possum would stay home where she likes it best. Given her lovely pedigree, strong head and soundness she will feature in our future breeding plans, and has already passed these characteristics onto her children to date!!

As we have mentioned, Possum already has 2 children who have done well in the show ring. Our own Bella, and her brother Murphy (shown by Claire Sutton in Mackay) have each more then held their own and have had some lovely results. Possum has recently had another litter (a repeat of the one that gave us Bella & Murphy) and although it is too soon to say if any will make the show ring, they are still gorgeous puppies with the best personality you could imagine!’
